As Barley harvested farmers had started planting of Kalo Marsi in Jumla. Rice planting in Jumla is famous as Jumla is the highest place on earth where rice is cultivated.

Ghugeyla Bazaar

Ghugeyla is famous for fresh fish from Karnali. Ghugeyla is the border of Bajura and Mugu district.Kolti is the closest airport ,a day walk from Ghugeyla.Now a days Nepal army already constructed the roads to Ghujeyla and The trail follows to Humla alongside of longest river of Nepal called Karnali. For those who would like to trek from Bajura to Mugu lake and Jumla you can find best scenic beauty,pristine river, happy and helping people,villages all along the way. 

Those who would like to trek this route you can find a small hotels,tea houses and helping people all along the way for lodging and fooding.Though,this route was best for trekking and cycling these days under constructing roads to rara lake soon going to hide trail as trekking. 

Due to Katyed Rural Municipality has declared dry area.People are not allowed to carry and drink alcohol in this area.This is one of the four checkpoints.

anyone who would like to have best trekking and cycling experience Jumla,Rara Lake and Khaptad could be your best choice.

Barley is an important winter crop in Jumla.It is grown in both Khet and Sarna(farming land that lies in high altitude area which has no irrigation facilities). Bhuwali ,Chawali,Lekali and Pawai were four farmer named traditional barley varieties that cultivating in Jumla. Lekali and Pawai are adapted to the high altitude area of Jumla.
