Harvesting Kali Marsi rice in Chumchaur Jyulo, a highest place where paddy grown in world


Harvesting Kalimarsi in Chumchaur Jyulo of Patarasi village has been started after having Tika of Dashain. It is a place that has been ranked as the highest place in the world where paddy cultivated. Chumchaur falls at an altitude of 2850 meters above sea level. Chumchaur in Patarasi village municipality of Jumla has been included in the list of new tourist destinations among 200 destinations that public made by Ministry of Culture ,Tourism and Civil Aviation,Nepal.

Patarasi Rural Municipality has started the work of expanding paddy cultivation in Chumchaur by providing seeds to farmers for planting these years.

Chumchaur Jyulo has been selected as a tourist destinations, aiming to preserve and promote Chumchaur Jyulo and Kalimarsi paddy produced there.
