Thakurgyu Temple: A Sacred Journey to the Heights of Devotion

Thakurgyu Temple, (4,554 meters) is a spiritual site in Jumla, Nepal. Dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati, this temple holds profound importance, especially during Shrawan Purnima, when pilgrims from Jumla and Karnali embark on challenging journeys, often spanning days, to offer their prayers. For those unable to reach the temple at the mountain's peak, an alternative place of worship is available in the village temple located in Kartiswami, Ward 10 of Chandannath Municipality. The temple’s stunning natural surroundings and the deep faith in Thakurgyu Malika draw countless devotees and visitors, particularly during the Janai Purnima festival, when the temple and its surroundings are filled with pilgrims.

Here are some stunning photos of the village temple and its surrounding area!
