Locals gather near the Tila River for a sacred bath, followed by rituals at the Shiva temple, where priests tie protective threads, Rakshya Bandhan, on their wrists. This thread symbolizes protection and blessing. The festival, marked by the changing of the sacred thread (Janai), fosters community spirit, strengthens family bonds, and reflects the deep spiritual connection of the people to their faith and traditions.
