Karnali Highway Through the Himalayan Landscape

The Karnali Highway is an important road network in western Nepal that connects remote districts of Karnali Province with the rest of the country. It links Surkhet to Jumla and extends further toward Kalikot and Mugu, passing through rugged mountains and challenging terrain. Although travel can be difficult due to narrow roads, landslides, and weather conditions, the Karnali Highway plays a vital role in improving transportation, trade, access to services, and overall development in one of Nepal’s most remote regions.
