Candidates of major parties and Independent candidates have files their nominations for upcoming local election. 

Dharmendra Rokaya and Menaka Regmi have been nominated for the post of mayor and deputy mayor of Chandanath Municipality by CPN,UML.

Nepali Congress Party has filed Advocate Padam Shahi as its candidates for mayor and Ramdevi Khadka has been nominated for the post of Deputy mayor in Chandannath Municipality.

Nepali Congress leader Raju Singh Kathayat has registered his independent candidate on the only Chandanath Municipality of Jumla. He has given independent candidate for the post of mayor after the Nepali Congress party did not give him a ticket for the post of mayor.

The CPN- Maoist has nominated young leader Jeevan Budthapa and Purnima BK(Rachana) for the post of Mayor and Deputy mayor of Chandannath Municipality.

On the first day of nomination, only NemaKipa has registered nomination in Jumla. NemaKipa has  has nominated Jaya Krishna Dharala and Hastana Neupane as Mayor and Deputy Mayor. There are seven rural municipalities, one Municipality in Jumla. 

Candidates are on line for filing their candidates at Election Commission office of Jumla.
